As you may have already discovered, we have been informed that our Yellowbrick tracker is not functioning. The rally team is trying to put up our position manually but it will be much less frequently.
Voila has been cruising along in its own little bubble. Fog has surrounded us for the last 2 days. Increasing and decreasing in intensity so that the size of our bubble changes. We have had good winds backing from SW to SE so currently we are close reaching in 11 kts of wind going 4.5 kts. We still have a good direction to Falmouth. We have still not picked up a consistent favourable current. We were hoping find the gulf stream.
We have been warned that the winds will turn contrary and light. Our goal is to be 400 miles from Falmouth in the next two days. Then we know we have enough fuel to motor if wind Gods do not cooperate.. The sea is very settled. This allows for good sailing even in light winds.
We are in good spirits and started making a list of chores to do when we arrive. The most important being a new cooker, as they say in Britain. We are hoping to arrange a get together with other boats that are landing at the same time. It will be interesting to compare passages because even 50 miles away there is completely different wind.
