Many parts of Europe are currently at a standstill. Every school in Scotland and many in Britain are closed. Planes and trains are cancelled or delayed. Accidents everywhere.
I wonder if there will be a food court on Friday. I was tempted to build a snowman.
We took a walk up to the post office. It was fun to observe the variety of clothing and especially footwear. We saw many pairs of canvas shoes and certainly business dress shoes that will be much worse for wear at the end of the day.
The staff are doing a great job of keeping things safe. Unfortunately we didn’t plan ahead and ran out of water. The water hoses on the docks were all frozen so Alan filled our jerry jugs from a shower in the bathroom.
According to the forecast this will all be gone by Saturday, at least in London.
