As far as I am concerned, the weather is perfect. Sunny and a high about 16C. We decided to spend some time outdoors today. We packed a picnic and headed to the Tube station. The destination today was the Baker Street Station. One of its claims to fame is something our granddaughter can appreciate. Do you think they would take good care of Grandpa?
Can anyone guess what is on Baker Street? The place was crowded and actual admission to the museum would have set us back $60 CDN so Alan had his picture taken and we browsed the gift shop.

Here is another shop along the way. Abbey Road is not far from here.
After a little more window shopping, it was time to head to our real destination: The Regent’s Park. It is one of the huge green spaces in the city of London. By huge, i mean the London Zoo takes up a small space at the north end.
What a wonderful place for city dwellers. Huge areas of nature and outdoors that are easily accessible and someone else cuts the grass and tends the flowers. We walked around the lake watching the punts and the pedal boats. Hundreds of the usual birds were everywhere even though the public is not allowed to feed them.
We found a bench and stopped for our picnic. It was a lovely place to read the Sunday paper.
Much of the centre area is taken up with football and rugby fields. Being Sunday, they were all in use. We counted at least a dozen games.
Even though we don’t know what variety it was (not maple), this tree reminded us of Quebec.
