Just a short blog to let you know we are back in Ireland again. We left Falmouth about 0800 on Tuesday and landed here about 1500. The trip was mostly uneventful. We motored the first few hours out to The Lizard against the current and then we caught a favourable current around Land’s End continuing across the Bristol Channel. The current there was mostly on our beam, one way or another. Since we now had wind up to 23kts, we decided to let the current push us towards Ireland, rather than stop at Milford Haven. We have not been ashore but remained anchored in a protected spot west of the harbour in sand. The town is small and looks like it’s sole employer is the Ferry terminal. Huge ferries come and go from England, France and Belgium.
We watched a small fishing boat pulling up traps and you can see it was a little windy in here.
Alan made dinner of leftover Shepherd’s Pie. It was and early night. Our plans are to head to Arklow today and on to Dublin tomorrow to meet up with our daughter.
