More Loose Ends

Well, Voila! is safely tied up at Collins Bay Marina. Unfortunately we are not aboard. On of the goals in coming north this summer was to conclude a number of transactions at home. We are officially residents of Voila! now with our house sold to our daughter Catherine. It looks like the remaining assets of the business will be sold soon. More paperwork is being cleared up regarding my father’s estate, although that is still an ongoing issue.

We have found a place to haul the boat for the winter while we install a new engine and work on some other issues. The boat’s winter home will be Kenmont Marine in Ste-Catherine. We have been having a great time with the children and grand-children. Hailey is contemplating a BIG slide

One of the things we are looking at is buying a small condo as a crash pad for when we are in Quebec and possibly as an income property. We have found one that Alan really likes because it has an independent garage for his “projects” and for storage. The bad news is that it is new construction and would not be ready until nearly Christmas. We will see what happens with that. Alan and I have both been through a round of cold/flu bugs so are moving a little slower than normal. We are looking forward to walking and biking and getting back to the boat.
