Splashed!

Well, we are in the water.

We were up early to be ready for the crew to come and launch Voila!. As it turned out, we went in just before lunch. No excitement this time – you would think we had done this before. we headed over to our slip at the other end of the marina. Definitely snug to get into but we managed to back into the slip without any panic. Mostly due to  manhandling and warping the boat around. We are in a location where the crane can come and take our mast down if we decide to do that here.

We can now use the head which is great in the middle of the night. We also cleaned out the water tanks and turned on the hot water. It is beginning to feel like home. If only we could get rid of the mosquitoes.

Dinner was roast pork (done in the pressure cooker, mashed potatoes and broccoli. We ate the last of Christina’s famous Chocolate Chip Cookies today. Our first “real” meal.  We will probably be here another 2 weeks getting all the chores done and the parts reattached.
