Preparation continues

The last two days have been busy with small projects which seem to take an inordinate amount of time. Yesterday began with Alan replacing the thermostat on the hot water tank because the only temperature was scalding. We headed off to the shops with a long list. We started our trip with brunch at the Sunset diner with geat service and a reasonable price. We picked up a bracket for the outboard, a new CD/ Stereo/MP3 player, anchor chain markers, screening supplies to keep out the mozzies, a new nozzle for the hose, fuel and oil filters, a new composite propane tank, bedding and pillows for our guests, and on and on. I also filled a grocery cart with food, so we had a big job to find room for everything. When we returned we found a friend we had first met in Cape May. We reminisced about hurricane Wilma. He is hauling his boat and heading for home. Today we created more space to store said "stuff". Alan built some great shelves in one of our three hanging lockers. The eventual use will probably be food, but for the time being it will be a catchall.

 After dinner, our project was to replace the sceening for all the hatches. After 20 years they were pretty worn. Alan is doing the dishes and then it is off for a refreshing shower.
